Privacy policy

Lottery Number Check (lotterynumbercheck.com) shows lotto results to anyone, without an account. We never ask for a name, email address, phone number, date of birth or ticket details.

On your device

Numbers you save on Check my numbers, the games you watch and small settings (for example, that you already dismissed the install suggestion) are written to your browser’s local storage on this device. They stay there until you remove them on that page or clear the site data in your browser.

With draw alerts switched on

Sending a notification needs the subscription your browser creates: a technical address at its push service and two encryption keys, with nothing that names you. We store it together with the games you watch and your saved numbers, because those decide which alert to send. Switching alerts off removes all of it.

Counting installs and alerts

To know whether the site is useful, we count when the app is installed, when it is opened from its icon or from an alert, and when alerts are switched on, adjusted or switched off. Each record holds the date and time, the country of the connection, the browser’s own description of itself and a random code your browser makes up, so one installation is not counted twice. The code is not tied to you, and clearing the site data replaces it with a new one.

How long records are kept

An alert subscription ends when you switch alerts off, when your browser’s push service reports that it no longer exists, or at the latest 400 days after it was last updated. Records of installs, app openings and alert changes are deleted automatically after 120 days.

No cookies or ad trackers

The site sets no cookies of its own and loads no advertising or analytics trackers.

Who else is involved

Pages are delivered by Cloudflare, which handles each visit in order to serve it. Notifications travel through the push service of your browser (Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft).

Your rights

Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) lets you ask an organization what personal information it holds about you, have it corrected and complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. As we hold nothing that identifies you, the quickest way to erase your data is to switch alerts off and clear this site’s data in your browser.

What an alert can show on a locked screen

An alert names the game and, when it is about your saved numbers, the number that came up, so anyone who sees your locked screen can read it. If that matters to you, set your phone to hide the content of notifications, or switch alerts on or off on Check my numbers. Alerts carry draw results and your matches only, never advertising.
